Fruit of Joy

Today I read from the internet; I was amazed by this prayer request.

"Finally, may I share with you a prayer request that I have been asking of the Lord for the last few months. Lord, surprise me by joy today. Then I look forward all day long for something joyful each new day, and I thank God for his goodness. I am thinking about adding the other fruit of the Spirit, on different days. Lord, surprise me by your love today, or Lord show me your peace today. Perhaps this prayer would be unique; Lord, surprise me with long suffering."

[Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,Galations 5:22.]

I thank God for joy that I experienced, the peace as I walked with Him , kindness and goodness of the people I am surrounded by, His abundant faithfulness. Though suffering is often found in our life but sometimes I wouldn't say that Joy is the opposite of suffering, because through suffering I experienced Joy; through experiencing I learned to appreciate everything. Through suffering I learned and I grow, as I learn to grow; I grow to learn, learned about His unfailing love.As I pondered upon this, I found out that the hardships I went through, there is a blessing behind it.

"It speaks in Galatians about love, the fruit of the Spirit being love, joy, peace, gentleness, long suffering, meekness and temperance. The way this writer has put it -- and I think it is very beautiful -- is that joy is love exultant, peace is love in repose, and long suffering is love enduring. It is all love, you see, a gentleness is love in society, and goodness is love in action, and faith is love on the battle-field, and meekness is love at school, and temperance is love in training."
